Jesus had a heart for the hurting, the orphans, and the fatherless. He had a heart for those that came from hard places, the unlovable, the dirty and angry. Jesus loved them and I believe this is also the heart of Camp. We attempt to love the hurting, the orphaned, the fatherless, and the unlovable – like Jesus did. “Learn to do what is right. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of the orphans.” Isaiah 1:17. This verse speaks 
to what we are attempting to do with each young boy that comes to Camp. We want to help them begin to do what is right. We seek to bring a form of justice into their lives and help them form a sense of right and wrong. But before any of that can happen, they need love. Unconditional love! The same kind of love each of us as children of the King of Kings has received. Our boys need Jesus!
Boys at Camp experience the love of Jesus through their Chiefs. Chiefs have the wonderful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It is through this example that our boys begin to see and feel the love of Jesus.
As we sit at the close of this year, I am grateful for how God has blessed Camp. It is a true privilege to be able to serve the families that have entrusted their sons into our care. We are honored and grateful for their trust and support.
We say, “Thank-you” to all those that have prayed for Camp, given financially, volunteered at our thrift stores and served Camp with your time.
