Chiefs

The Camp counselors (Chiefs) are responsible for the progress and welfare of each Camper in their assigned group. When a boy comes to Camp, he makes goals for himself. His Chiefs will support and mentor the boy as he works on his goals. Chief is ready to give encouragement when a boy becomes discouraged with his goals. Each Chief is trained in First Aid, CPR, and Safety Crisis Management. Every week they spend time in training to develop their child therapy skills.

Family Workers

The family workers are usually the first image of Camp that our families see. After a child comes to Camp the family worker’s job is to create a climate of understanding and communication between Camp and the family. They work hard to help a family understand what their son is experiencing at Camp through frequent calls and emails. Family workers are there to support families as they work on their goals and personal development.

Maintenance

Our maintenance personnel have a unique opportunity to touch everyone’s life here at Camp. From fixing vehicles to hauling stone, from maintaining our 1/2 mile lane to fixing the central vacuum, they are kept quite busy. They are responsible for the general upkeep of Camp.

Secretaries

The secretaries are Camp’s voice to the public. They have the opportunity to make Camp the friendliest place in the state. They also do a tremendous amount of typing, newsletter layout, answering phone calls and emails, mailings, reports, financial records, shopping for supplies, and keeping staff and Camper files in order.

Cooks

The cooks have the awesome opportunity to serve 3 meals a day, 5 days a week. Their ready smiles and words of encouragement go a long way to make Chuckwagon a great place to be. Besides making delicious meals, they also do the food purchasing and keep the kitchen a warm, welcoming place. What would a Camp event be without good food?!
