Coming to Camp has affected my life in so many ways. One positive change I’ve made is being able to listen to arguments or fights and not feel like I have to join them. I also generally do life in a more honest way. The biggest thing that I’m working on now is how I respond to negativity, whether it’s words or actions. Being able to master that will improve my life majorly. Being around Chiefs and Supervisors has been an amazing experience. I haven’t had a good father figure growing up, so being here has helped me. I’ve learned to be more patient, kindhearted, funny, and still be a good example to others. That’s how being at Camp has helped me. – Ezra, Camper

Problem Solving

Hi, my name is Aden, and I am going to talk about one of the important things at Camp: Problem Solving. A problem is when someone does something wrong that needs to be solved. If someone is upset or not wanting to solve his problem, we get in a circle-up and talk about it. If things still don’t get solved, we then go to plan B and walk in a straight line to the next circle-up. If other things arise during the problem, and someone else does not respond well, we usually try to solve it right away so things don’t pile up. When someone finally solves their problem, we usually hear them say, “I’m sorry,” or they show it with their actions. We also try to seek how we can prevent the problem from coming up again. This is what problem solving looks like at Camp. – Aden, Camper
